FARMHOUSE celebrates California’s abundance of bounty from local farms, markets, dairies, and purveyors, situated within a new informal dining experience at the revitalized Beverly Center. Opening March 17, 2018 the menu will focus on a curation of 4-6 key ingredients per season that are at their peak with rotating sharable dishes including vegetables, salads, meats, fishes, pizza, and pastas, simply cooked in a wood fired oven and wood grill. The 7,000 sqft space will be reminiscent of a modern California Farmhouse with a relaxed feel, fire place, open kitchen, and large bar. FARMHOUSE is the brainchild of Laurent Halasz, who moved to Southern California from the South of France close to a decade ago, bringing with him a lifelong respect for quality ingredients and simple flavors.

The Los Angeles Police Department is dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk youth in LA County.  They witness first-hand the causes of juvenile delinquency, and are constantly evolving their practices to curb the phenomenon and dissuade from illegal activity.  After realizing that incarceration is not a viable solution to the problem, the LAPD established the Police Activities League, a program to keep children active and productive during after-school hours.  Directors Lorraine Garcia and Glenda Brooks work to organize trips, fund sports leagues, and offer mentoring programs encouraging youth to make positive decisions and break away from the pattern of gang involvement.
